Helen Gorrill vit et travaille à Newcastle Upon Tyne. Ses études à l’université de Combrie lui ont valu le premier prix de dessin contemporain et celui d’art appliqué. Parallèlement, elle enchaîne les expositions (dessins, installations, sculptures), notamment autour des thèmes du féminisme et de la religion. Helen Gorrill s’implique aussi particulièrement dans les recherches des Gender Studies, et organise ou participe depuis 2008 à de nombreuses conférences.
